Students in the world languages department are learning more than just vocabulary and grammar this week. Each language is enhancing its curriculum by introducing students to aspects of its culture by hosting “Culture Week.”

Teachers have invited guest speakers, cultural practitioners, and have organized public performances. The Korean language students are also hosting students from sister school Dae Gon High School from South Korea Wednesday through Friday.

Language classes and the Peer Education Program are sponsoring activity booths at lunch. Dance Moanalua, Okinawan Taiko drums and the Polynesian Dance Club have provided noon hour entertainment.
