Sending Aloha to Kupuna
October 28, 2020
For the month of October, Moanalua High School’s Student Association is holding a Letter to Kupuna service project. All MoHS students are welcome to create a drawing, digital, or physical card.
“During these challenging times, our kupuna are most at risk. I think just by making small jokes, asking them how they are doing, or just reminding them that they’re loved and appreciated, can give them hope and brighten their days,” said Senior Class President, Taylor Katahira.
Physical letters must be mailed to Moanalua High School by October 31, and digital letters must be sent to [email protected] or [email protected] by the same date. Any questions can also be sent to those addresses.
Participants are encouraged to talk about how they are doing, ask kupuna how they are doing, tell small jokes, and let them know they are loved and appreciated.
This service project was orchestrated by Juniors Khloe-Reigh Ringor and Seolbin Hong, and is the monthly service project the Student Association manages.
