The music department will again be sponsoring the Winter Craft Fair December 9 to raise money for the music department. More than 150 vendors will be on campus from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This comes just in time for the Christmas holidays.
“A lot of the instruments we buy and the events that hold are funded by the [Music Boosters], so all the money made from the craft fair will go to the boosters and in turn come back to the students, which will be really beneficial,” Moanalua Music Department President Kacie Arakaki.
The funds go toward department expenses such as rehearsal and community-building events.
“For the students, we will be doing a lot of the manpower; helping out the vendors get from their cars to their booths – and making sure everything is in place,” Arakaki said.
Set up will begin Friday after school, with music department students marking the booth locations. Others will arrive at 6:00 a.m. Saturday to help vendors unload their vehicles.
Shuttles will be available at Aliamanu Middle School throughout the day.
