Boys Volleyball plays tonight in state tournament

The New City Nissan State Boys Volleyball Championships are underway. The tournament is broken into four rounds, with the first round this past Monday.

OIA champions Moanalua plays tonight in the second round of the Division I tournament, having received a bye in the first round. The Menes are seeded second in the field and play Castle High School tonight at 5:00 p.m. at McKinley High School.

If they win, they will play tomorrow at the Moanalua High School gym. The state finals will be at the Blaisdell Center Arena on Saturday.

There are a total of 12 teams involved in states: Moanalua, Punahou, Kamehameha Schools-Hawaii, Kamehameha Schools–Maui, Waiakea, Roosevelt, Mililani, Campbell, King Kekaulike, Castle, Kaiser, and Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama. 

The top four teams were automatically seeded in the tournament: Punahou #1, Moanalua #2, KS-Hawaii #3, and KS-Maui #4.  See the Divison I brackets at sportshigh.com.
