Lyla Sato's Hawaiian proverb poster is one of several in teachers' classrooms and around campus to educate others about Hawaiian values. The students in Hawaiian 4 researched topics in preparation of Ku'oko'a, Hawaiian independence day, November 28.

From left: senior Hope Coloma was the female winner of the flex-arm hang competition. She was able to last 1:43. Junior Sal Barbaria (center) won with a time of 2:37. Fellow junior Quincy Corpuz was just a hair behind in second with a time of 2:32.

Sophomores Joshua Jaictin, Kat Quiton and Jazelle Jones enjoyed playing with the visitor from the Hawaiian Humane Society.

Engineering teacher Vince Komar got drenched in the Soak 'N Wet booth after daring one of his students to hit the target with the bean bag. He got his wish. Students could earn a free chance to play by obtaining 15 stamps from the various booths at the health fair.

Seniors Lei Shinshiro and James Huang fried noodles with vegan teriyaki spam in the booth run by the culinary classes. The students sold more than 1,000 bowls of noodles.
