Senior year is one of “finally!”

Karri Ragasa, Contributing Writer

This is one of several “slam poems” from seniors who used words from a list of ideas responding to the prompt “As seniors, we are resolute. . . .”

As seniors we are resolute about staying alive

The stress of passing and classes

the pressure of getting good grades

the struggle of staying well rested

we must keep calm

bad habits

procrastinating a lot

the urge to keep on procrastinating

is dangerous

foolish

we must hold ourselves accountable

As seniors we are resolute about forming our futures

going to college

getting money

being good leaders

living life

laughing, and loving

everyday

having no regrets

As seniors, we are resolute about graduating

finally finishing high school

finally waiting at graduation

finally

everything is officially over

we have made it out.
